I collaborated with the VP of product development and the engineering team on both the GiftingBox and it's admin site. The GiftingBox is a social ad unit that allows Facebook users to spread the word about a product by posting virtual gifts to their friends' wall. The admin site allows GiftingBox owners to manage their GiftingBox unit, creatives, and gifting activity stats.

Vocabulary Widget

This is one of the first desktop widgets conceptualized in the company and I was the lead designer for this project. The goal of the Vocabulary Widget is to provide a fun and quick way for learners to build their business vocabulary through the use of virtual flash cards and word games. Learners can also listen to proper word pronunciations, view words in sample sentences, and enter in newly learned words that they pick up from everyday life and save them in the widget for future access.

Online Learning Community Revamp

This is a proof-of-concept design proposed for the company's new online learning community. The goal of the new design is to open a gateway for online learners to connect and learn with each other. I also collaborated with the product management and design team to transform this aspect from a basic message board/chat center into a Facebook-like community, incorporating updates on status and completed lessons, a more engaging chat application, as well as a new virtual points system that rewards users for practicing their English.

The company's COO was looking for a screensaver design that was simple, elegant, non-intrusive, and pleasant to look at while at the same time conveying the company's main goals and principles. I was the lead designer for this project.

Mobile Learning Center Promo (Flash)

This is a Flash promotional video for the company's first mobile-related product, the Mobile Learning Center which provides a library of audio and digital lessons that can be downloaded by learners. The Product Director wanted to emphasize the concept of "anywhere, anytime" learning that would appeal to professional business English learners in their late 20's and 30's. I was the lead designer and Flash animator for this project and collaborated with the content and production team.

Online Learning Content Revamp (Proof of Concept, Flash)

This flash video series is part of a proof-of-concept course content prototype developed by the content and design team as they explored ways to revamp the online learning materials and make them more engaging by presenting the courses in a story format where the learner can interact with the lessons. I was the design lead for the flash videos below and also did the flash animation. I collaborated with the production team on creating the voiceovers and audio effects. I worked with the "actors" and coordinated photography sessions with them, in addition to using stock imagery. (Please note that the controls on the bottom are part of the mockup and are not functional.)

My very first website design project where I revamped Vegan Action's website. I was given a lot of creative freedom on this project, and I wanted to provide the non-profit organization with a design that is very different from the vegetarian sites that existed at the time. I wanted to give the website a look and feel that is more modern, professional, and visually appealing and catered to young professionals as well as beloved hippies.
